Honey Mill Farm - Ron Rhyner

My Pick Verified Local Farmer

- no herbicides - no pesticides

Ron is a retired Dairy Farmer who has always had a dream of growing vegetables for market.  This dream has had Ron gardening for about 10 years now, and the vegetable gardens have grown to about 6 acres.  Honey Mill Farm is in North Waldhof which is located between Dryden & Vermilion Bay.

WE GROW WHAT WE SELL NATURALLY.  No herbicides or pesticides.  We grow a wide variety of vegetables and they are all weeded by tiller, hoe and by hand.   We offer our vegetables for sale at Markets in Dryden, Oxdrift, Kenora & Sioux Lookout as well as selling on the Cloverbelt Local Food Co-op and at the farm gate.  We are licenced under the CFIA to sell FARM FRESH - FREE RANGE - BROWN EGGS!  In the summer, we offer PASTURE RAISED - GRAIN FED PORK for sale.  Both the chickens and the pork are fed the greens from our market garden.  Keeping honey bees helps with the pollination and the honey in the fall is a bonus!

Give us a call at 227-2872 and if we are home, we are open!

Check us out on Facebook!

We're only a couple miles off the highway...Take North Waldhof, turn left at the fork onto Old School Rd - #259 you'll see our greenhouses.

It's worth the drive . . . you can't "Eat Fresh - Eat Local" any better than right out of the field.

"From our Farm to Your Table..Thank you for supporting YOUR LOCAL FARMER!"

Mel Fisher

A retired farmer who says that organic is mostly an advertising term, but who believes in growing things in as natural a way as is practical, without use of toxic chemicals. An ‘urban gardener’, with a commercial-size garden next to his house in town, plus some rural lands.

Specializes in swiss chard, cabbage, and lettuce, also provides a variety of interesting products including some herbs.
